This 1927 American Double Eagle has a face value of $20. It is 0.9675 troy-ounce of fine gold. Issued from 1907 to 1933, the $20 Double Eagle features the St Gauden design under the "LIBERTY" heading. The reverse has the eagle in flight and the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TWENTY DOLLARS".
